Answers about IMATIVERSE and the IMAT: what is free, what Student Pro adds, refunds, the exam format and scoring, and how many universities you can apply to.
- What do I get for free?
- 5 tests a day (timed mocks or practice), every subject, live tests, your analytics, revision cards and the study library. Live tests never count toward the daily limit, and no card is needed.
- What does Student Pro add?
- Unlimited tests, the Pro-only mock exams and the Pro study library. It costs €9 a month, €69 a year (€5.75 a month) or €199 once for lifetime access. First-time subscribers get a 3-day free trial.
- Are live classes included in Student Pro?
- No. Live classes, daily mocks, subject mocks and class recordings come with the Live Classes programmes. Student Pro is the app on its own.
- Can I use IMATIVERSE in Italian?
- Yes. Switch between English and Italian at any time. Questions and posts written by the team stay in the language they were written in.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes. You can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of buying it and get your money back, as set out in the Refund Policy.
- Is the IMAT paper-based or computer-based?
- The official IMAT is currently paper-based, using an optical mark recognition (OMR) sheet.
- How many universities can I apply to?
- Non-EU students living abroad can only choose ONE university. EU and Non-EU students in Italy can rank several choices.
- How is the IMAT scored?
- Each correct answer is worth +1.5 points, each wrong answer costs -0.4, and a blank answer scores 0.
- What is the maximum IMAT score?
- 90 points: 60 questions answered correctly at +1.5 each.
- What is an IMAT cut-off?
- It is the score of the last candidate admitted to a university in a given year. It is not a pass mark set in advance: it comes out of the national ranking once every seat has been filled.
